Hi, I’m Angelique – filmmaker, storyteller and creative collaborator.
For over 10 years, I’ve been creating videos that connect, inspire, and make an impact. From brand stories, event promos and educational content to social campaigns and personal documentaries, I’ve worked with individuals, organisations, schools, and companies across a wide range of projects.
At the heart of my work is a passion for intentional, story-led filmmaking — where every frame serves a purpose and every voice is given the space to be heard.
Two areas I specialise in are:
• Storytelling mini-documentaries for advocacy and social change – powerful, authentic films that highlight voices, shift perspectives, and drive meaningful conversations.
• Video course creation – helping you bring your knowledge to life on screen, with support that goes beyond filming, from strategic planning and coaching to setting up your course online and marketing it effectively.
Whether we’re capturing real-life interviews or structuring a full learning series, I work closely with you to make the process easy, enjoyable, and intentional. And I take time to plan carefully with you — finding the best approach to tell your story in a way that truly resonates. Depending on the scale of your project, I typically work solo or with a small trusted crew.

Orphaned when their biological parents died tragically, Meseret Cohen & her siblings were given to an orphanage in Ethiopia, a country with a history of famine, war, and instability. At the age of thirteen, her prayers were answered when she was adopted by a family in Busselton, Perth Australia to start her new life. Many would see this as redemption, but the walk to discovering her true self has just begun. Her resilience & courage to keep going has inspired many, this viewing is not to be missed!

The film premiered on Saturday 20 March and was a sell-out of 200 seats at Event Cinemas, Innaloo.
The film has been awarded ‘Best Inspirational Film’ in the ‘Cannes World Film Festival ~ Remember the Future’ for September 2021 and it came runner up in the category ‘Best Documentary Short’. All monthly winners are entered into the annual competition for a chance to win a Trophy and opportunity to have their film screened at a famous theatre in Cannes, the world’s capital of Cinema. We feel very honoured to have received this award and have been so encouraged by all the feedback from everyone who has watched the film and been impacted by the story. Hi, I’m Angelique Rene, the creative behind Angelique Gerber Films. I’ve been working in film and video production for over a decade now, and what I love most is how every project is a chance to tell someone’s unique story. Whether I’m directing, interviewing, shooting, or editing, I’m always focused on crafting something that connects with people. My work ranges from interview-based short films for mini-docos to highlight reels, and I like to keep things personal. Depending on the scale of the project, I typically work solo or with a small trusted crew, and sometimes I team up with other filmmakers.
Before diving into filmmaking, I started out in graphic design and marketing, which has given me a unique perspective on video production. I bring that marketing insight into everything I do, helping to craft videos that aren’t just beautiful to watch but also connect with audiences and support your bigger goals. I’m all about creating something that resonates and makes an impact.
Alongside my main work, I’m also involved with Huntingford Films, where we focus on the classical music industry, creating short documentaries, music videos and are currently working on developing a series of video music courses.
One of the projects I’m most proud of is THE WALK (2021), a documentary I worked on with Jas Lynn. It won Best Inspirational Film and was a runner-up for Best Documentary Short at the Remember the Future Cannes World Film Festival — an experience that really pushed me creatively and was incredibly rewarding.
Another project close to my heart is THE LIVES WE LEAD series (2019-2023), which I directed, filmed, and edited. This social media campaign featured 57 mini-documentaries showcasing people with disabilities across Western Australia, with the goal of shifting perceptions and highlighting the incredible contributions people with disabilities make to society. It was an incredibly rewarding experience to see the positive impact the series had in raising awareness and driving important conversations.

As an example, we have been working on a project called “The Lives We Lead”.
